Visual Artist. Backcountry Explorer. Cultivator of Potential.
Lisa combines these gifts to create artwork whose vision and messages inspire and encourage, using contemporary representational methods. Born in England, but raised in the heart of the midwest in the United States, Lisa has never met a stranger in her life. This served her well during years of teaching Visual Arts to youth and adults, after attending the University of Tulsa on a National Scholastics Art Scholarship for a BA in Fine Art and Education. Lisa built her classroom upon educated feedback, as well as the pursuit of excellence. This pursuit of excellence and the desire to help others reach their full potential, while doing the same herself, created a classroom of state and national award-winning achievements from Lisa’s students, including Lisa winning Teacher of the Year at her school. Furthermore, it led her to earn her MSED in English Language Learners from Walden University.
No longer a full-time teacher, Lisa calls Loveland, Colorado home and Rocky Mountain National Park her backyard. Lisa has been named one of Colorado’s top 60 artists. Her award-winning artwork has been exhibited in Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, and national and international virtual exhibitions, including National Oil & Acrylic Painters’ Society, American Women Artists, International Society of Acrylic Painters, and more. When she is not adventuring outdoors with Studio Puppy in pursuit of her next artistic creation, or "doing life" with the women she mentors, Lisa is making memories with her loved ones, or in her studio breathing life into people, animals, and her beloved mountains with her pencils, charcoal and paints.
